Today also sees Nikon issue an announcement of the D850 D SLR camera.
I have seen similar pre details from many companies over the years, and to be honest I find usually find them disappointing.
Why? Well as in this case, no real details are given even for spec or time frame.
In my experience, such announcements happen when either products fall behind in their launch schedule, or they are seen as good PR to keep a brand in peoples mind.
This would have been a fitting camera to have for the 100th Centenary. There was one other concept I thought would be fitting, but sadly not to be either.
All that said, those who know their ‘Nikon’ really well, will see even with just the product designation some interesting things.
And I think it is going to be one amazing camera, continuing the D8XX series high end performance. But I would also suspect other, special and significant products to also be announced before the centenary year is over.
Looking forward to it all.
So here we go with one of today’s PR release:
Development of Digital SLR Camera Nikon D850
