Voigtlander Announce Nikon & Sony Mount lenses…

Voightlander, one of photographies famous and traditional names, have two new manual focus optics arriving soon.

Both are 40mm lenses, but different mounts and maximum lens speed.

The Nikon mount version looks beautifully reminiscent of older manual focus Nikkor lenses.

The Voigtlander 40mm f2 SL II-S Ultron is the latest manual focusing lens for Nikon mount DSLR and film cameras released by Voigtlander. It is the third 40mm f2 lens from Voigtlander and is the second SLR lens with the ‘II-S’ title. Much like the 58mm, a chassis change has been undertaken with Signature ‘bunny ears’ and a rather nostalgic retro look. Available in Black or Silver.

The Voigtlander NOKTON 40mm f1.2 Aspherical is a high-speed manual focus lens optimized for the imaging sensors of Sony mirrorless cameras. While retaining a compact size, this lens realises a world first as a full frame 40mm lens with a large F1.2 aperture.

The optical formula features two elements each with two aspherical surfaces, so you can enjoy reliable optical performance and gentle out-of-focus bokeh at maximum aperture. The aperture ring has click stops in 1/3 steps. The lens also features a click stop switching mechanism that enables the click stops to be turned off when shooting video.
